A dead giveaway to marketing calls  are the odd seconds of &quot;dead air&quot; after answering the phone. When marketers using automatic multi-call dialers finally pick up their end, they inevitably offer &quot;Hello?&quot;...to which I&#039;ll reply: &quot;Look Bud, &#039;Hello&#039; is what I said when I answered the phone. Where were you then?&quot;</description>
