As for charity, we prefer donating selectively, that is, when and to whom we chose. A dead giveaway to marketing calls are the odd seconds of "dead air" after answering the phone. When marketers using automatic multi-call dialers finally pick up their end, they inevitably offer "Hello?"...to which I'll reply: "Look Bud, 'Hello' is what I said when I answered the phone.
