2008 ELECTION: YOUR THOUGHTS ON POLITICS & BUSINESS
By John Ingrisano on Jan 26, 2008 in Issue of the Week
In case you’ve been on another planet, there is a hot ‘n heavy horse race of an election battle heating up this year. As a business owner, you probably have your own views on who is the best (or least worst) candidate.
I operate under the assumption that politics and business do not mix. So, as an SBO, unless your customers are all members of the NRA or the local teachers’ union (and even then, do not assume each member’s political leanings), only talk politics with people who agree with you.
But that’s just my opinion. What’s yours? Let us know how you handle political discussions? Do you put candidate signs in your storefront? Do you make your political views known or keep the under your hat?
Send your commenets and thoughts. However, do not send political endorsements or argue the benefit of one candidate over another. (We’ll do that next week. I promise.)
Meanwhile, work hard, make money, have fun.
