A Biz Can Never Run Itself
By John Ingrisano on Jan 3, 2007 in Quote of the Day
I’ve met several people over the years who wanted to leave the corporate ranks of wage slavery and become independent business people…and who thought that owning a business was the ticket to Good Life City via Easy Street.
Wrong. Whether you are a startup or a decades-old veteran of business, you must devote yourself relentlessly to your company. (P.S. Those folks’ make-believe venture into entrepreneurship was short-lived, and they are now safely back earning a weekly pay check at a desk owned by someone else.)
The bottom line: A business only takes care of you if you take darn good care of it. There is no such thing as a company that runs itself. So work hard. Make money. And have fun. — JR Ingrisano
