I’ve found that, when it comes to business, competing on price is a slippery slope. Every time I’ve tried to give a client a "special" price, never to be available again, he comes back to me next year expecting that same — or even a better — deal.
Competing on price says you do not trust or believe in your product or service. Try this: Raise your price anywhere from 10% to 100% today. Then, when you are banging the gong to prospects, focus entirely on why they should buy from you. Do not discuss price, except as an afterthought.
