DON’T BE THE LOW-PRICE LEADER
By John Ingrisano on Nov 8, 2007 in Quote of the Day
I’ve found that, when it comes to business, competing on price is a slippery slope. Every time I’ve tried to give a client a "special" price, never to be available again, he comes back to me next year expecting that same — or even a better — deal.
Competing on price says you do not trust or believe in your product or service. Try this: Raise your price anywhere from 10% to 100% today. Then, when you are banging the gong to prospects, focus entirely on why they should buy from you. Do not discuss price, except as an afterthought.
You may be amazed at what happens. Work hard. Make money. Have fun. — JRIngrisano, The Freestyle Entrepreneur
