MAKE PROFITS BY MAKING THE EMOTIONAL CONNECTION

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve come to recognize that business success is no longer simply about building a better mouse trap.  Excellence, the buzz word of the 80s, is assumed.  It’s no big woof anymore.

The key to success in this decade is making the emotional bond — like the one we feel with Starbucks, Fed Ex, and the places you do business every day.  Think about it!  It’s more the feeling than the cost.

Excellent observation John. An emotional connection is necessary for virtually any successful transation.

There are many important ingredients to every sale, but the emotional connection is critical.

Daniel, thanks. I know that, as for myself, I bank where I like the people (who also give my two dogs biscuits, a big plus), I have my investments with a man who I personally like and admire for his character, and I grocery shop where I am greeted with a “Hello, Johnny” by the owner, who never got too big to become a backroom number cruncher.

The bottom line: It’s the relationship, the emotional connection.
