Rote SOP Can Do Wonders
I’m a big fan of Standard Operating Procedures. Assuming I’ve researched and planned well, and laid out the steps, I can work by the numbers, knowing I need to do so much X to obtain this much Y in Z amount of time (sort of like the 10-3-1 ratio for sales success) .
In other words, much of success have to do more with habit, hard work and self-discipline than with brilliance.
Recommendation: Set your goals carefully and wisely. Make sure they’re solid, and, yes, review them regularly. Then map out the activities that will/should generate the results you seek. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.
