Chaos! As business owners, we live in it. It’s not part of any business plan or spread sheet. But it is perhaps the number one reason people fail in business — they get worn out taking on the horde of dragons that can keep coming at them from every direction … and when least expected.
My point? Two points, actually: (1) You cannot eliminate chaos completely. To try is a fool’s quest, one that can lead to increased chaos. (2) Learn to be an oasis of peace and focus amid the chaos, like the mother of a brood of young children, who can change a diaper, talk on the phone, prepare dinner and wipe a snotty nose…all without breaking a sweat or losing her patience.
So, work hard, make money, have fun, and enjoy the chaos. — John R. Ingrisano
"The people who are successful are those who can adapt to new business environments, new business demands, and new business needs. Those who can handle chaos survive. Those who can’t, don’t."
