Chaos!  As business owners, we live in it.  It’s not part of any business plan or spread sheet.  But it is perhaps the number one reason people fail in business — they get worn out taking on the horde of dragons that can keep coming at them from every direction … and when least expected.

My point?  Two points, actually:  (1) You cannot eliminate chaos completely. To try is a fool’s quest, one that can lead to increased chaos. (2) Learn to be an oasis of peace and focus amid the chaos, like the mother of a brood of young children, who can change a diaper, talk on the phone, prepare dinner and wipe a snotty nose…all without breaking a sweat or losing her patience.
